Most conductors will agree - or at least hope - that their best performances take place during a competition. The Golden Gate Festival wants to open the doors to these moments of music acumen. Several Competition Concerts will take place over the course of the week. Free and open to the public, they will feature three or four choirs, each performing sets that include their competitive repertoire for the Historical and Folk Competitions. Adjudicators will be attending and judging each performance.
