Alene Kemper, Vice President, Board Development

Alene Kemper is a professionally trained flute player and singer.  Those pursuits took a back seat to raising her three children.  The older two, Stephan and Jillian, are choir alums from 2006 and 2008 respectively.  The youngest son, Nate, is in high school and is a current member of ECCO.  She and her husband, William B. Kemper, of Deloitte, love the international flavor of our choral organization and embrace the multicultural emphasis of the Bay Area.  Having recently lived overseas in Australia, Alene is even more convinced of the importance of promoting the arts and strengthening the bond formed around music within the lives of our children here and abroad. The Kempers live in Lafayette.

Susan Malick, Vice President, Development

Sue Malick first joined the Board and served as President when her youngest (now 30) was still in the Choirs and is now serving her second stint on the Board. She is celebrating, this year, over 37 years of service on various Boards of Directors, working primarily in Development and Fundraising. She is especially interested in ensuring that the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir can offer an affordable and quality musical education to children throughout the East Bay.
